Make-up like Kristen

Makeup
To go with her pink dress, Kristen was given a soft smoky eye, pink cheeks and soft lips.

1. Start out by evening out your skin with a foundation. Apply concealer as needed.

2. Fill in the eyebrows with a pencil. Apply a shimmery light gray/taupe color (try NARS Ashes To Ashes Eyeshadow) on the eyelid. Blend a soft brown eyeshadow onto the crease to add depth to the eyes. Run a black eyeliner around the eyes and top with several coats of black mascara on both top and bottom.
3. To get Kristen’s rosy flush, apply a soft pink blush like MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty on the apples of the cheeks.

4. Finish with a frosty pink lipstick like MAC Angel.

Hair
Frederic Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel gave Kristen Stewart a 50s inspired rocker chic pompadour.
1. Start by spraying wet hair with hair spray, focusing on the roots. Blow-dry with hands for a tousled effect.

2. Using an one-inch curling iron, barrel curl two-inch sections from the top of the hair, pinning it in place starting at the hairline all the way to the crown. Lightly wave the hair that was not in pin curls, and leave it down.

3. Take the pin curls out and backcomb the roots for the pompadour effect. To keep the backcombing in place, spray Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray ($10) at the roots, and use a paddle brush to smooth the top of the hair into place.

4. To complete the look, applying Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax ($23) to the ends of the hair to create some separation, and spray on more hairspray to lock in the style.

“Kristen had just changed her hair color, and I knew it was going to be a really amazing red carpet moment and be photographed to death so I wanted to make sure she looked cool, chic, and beautiful. Adir Abergel her hairstylist did a beautiful loose and messy braided up-do which complimented her at the time newly strawberry blonde hair color (courtesy of Marie Robinson, the UBER talented NY colorist), this made Kristen’s naturally beautiful complexion look even more peaches and creme and made her look a bit younger and more innocent. I decided to play against that by applying dark black and cranberry shadows to her eyes to create drama and depth and enhance the green in her eyes” said Beau.

Here is a how to step by step to get the eyes:

1. Start by applying NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base on the the entire lid up to the brow bone and allow to dry for a full minute before applying shadows.

2. Apply a thin coat of loose powder on the entire eye area to make sure shadow blends nicely and doesn’t grab in any spots.

3. Using the Beauté Blender Brush, sweep a medium-dark gray like NARS Paris Duo Eyeshadow (the right side) into the crease of the eye and blend well.

4. Using the Beauté Smudge Brush, apply a bit of NARS Zardoz Cream Eyeshadow to the lashline and then blend the black upwards towards the gray with your finger.

5. Using the Beauté Blender or Flat Shadow Brush, apply NARS Pandora Duo Eyeshadow (right side) to the outer 1/3 of the eye and blend with the Blender Brush up and into the gray until it looks totally seamless.

6. Apply a mix of the black and gray shadows using the Smudge Brush under the eye, making sure to blend well.

7. Using the Small Flat Shadow Brush, apply MAC Cranberry Eyeshadow to the inner 2/3 of the eye blending well with the black.

8. Curl lashes and apply Chanel Inimitable Mascara.

9. Apply MAC Feline Eye Khol to the inner rims of the eye.

1. Start with Eye Shadow #127 (metallic taupe). Cover the entire eye lid with shadow so that there are no hard edges, making sure to blend out the color extremely well.

2. Using Aqua Eyes #0L (black), apply a very generous amount of eyeliner under the eye on the lower lid, then rim the top lid as close to lash line as possible.

3. Using a smudging brush, smudge the liner on the top and bottom of the eye. Robin’s tip: the secret to a great rock and roll smoky eye is all about the smudge – it doesn’t have to be uniform or neat. Once you’re done smudging, go back and re-apply a heavier coat of eyeliner along the lash line. Then, remove any excess shadow that may have fallen using a sponge.

4. Apply Eye Shadow #139 (iridescent brown black), a darker brown than the color used on the base of the lid, and smudge it over the black liner that was smudged out earlier on both the top and bottom lids.

5. Use a lash curler to lift all the lashes and prep them for applying mascara.

6. To complete the ultimate smoky eye, apply Smoky Lash first to the tops of the lashes, and then follow through scissoring up to create volume and separation.
